Offley Hoo Wiltshire Horn Lamb

The Wiltshire Horn sheep is an ancient Downland breed that roamed the Wiltshire Downs. Formerly a prolific breed, now listed with just 3000 breeding females in Defra’s 2002 genetic report of UK livestock. The pedigree status of this breed was re-established in 1923 and continues to this day. The Wiltshire Horn has no fleece and sheds a short matted coat once a year, naturally. It is bred for meat and has excellent conformation and possesses a natural hardiness and agility making it suitable for our chalky grassland.
